The main raw material is the cultivar called “Okamurasaki” in Japanese.

Okamurasaki is a medium to late-blooming lavender with elongated spikes and a slightly pale purple color.

It is popular as a cultivar for fragrance possessing the typical refreshing scent of lavender.

This variety was selected from a line of true lavender and is the main variety currently cultivated in Furano, a town in Hokkaido, Japan.
